Brittany Mahomes Set for UT Tyler Hall of Fame Induction in 2026

After watching Patrick Mahomes receive his Texas High School Football Hall of Fame honour in Waco last year, Brittany Mahomes is now getting her own moment in the spotlight.

The University of Texas at Tyler has revealed its 2026 Hall of Fame inductees, with Brittany Mahomes earning a well-deserved spot. She'll join Dr. Howard Patterson and the 2016 Softball Team as members of the sixth class entering the UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame.

Athletics Director Sam Ferguson expressed his enthusiasm about the announcement. "The 2026 UT Tyler Hall of Fame class is truly elite," Ferguson stated, and the statistics certainly back up his sentiment.

Exceptional College Soccer Performance

During her tenure at UT Tyler between 2013 and 2016, Brittany established herself as one of the programme's most prolific players. Her 78 career points rank second all-time in school history, whilst her 31 goals also place her in the runner-up position.

Additionally, she recorded 16 assists and 10 game-winning goals, both ranking third in programme history. Her 74 games played, tied for third all-time, demonstrated remarkable durability throughout her university career.

Her final campaign in 2016 proved to be her finest. That season, she established single-season records with 40 points, 18 goals, and seven game-winners—marks that still stand today.

Recognition Beyond Statistics

Ferguson emphasised that Brittany's influence extends far beyond her on-field achievements. "Her career pales in comparison to the incredible work she has been doing to advance women in sport," the athletics director noted.

Her playing statistics remain remarkable nonetheless. During her four-year career, she recorded four hat tricks, matching the school's single-match record for goals scored. These performances showcased her ability to take over matches at crucial moments.

For UT Tyler alumni and women's football enthusiasts, this recognition has been eagerly anticipated. Brittany's accomplishments at the university stand as a benchmark for future generations, and her Hall of Fame induction formalises that legacy. The ceremony is scheduled for March, where the Mahomes family is expected to attend in support of this significant honour.
