North Carolina Courage Appoint Swedish Coach Mak Lind to Lead Fresh Era

The North Carolina Courage have found their new leader. Swedish tactician Mak Lind is making the transatlantic move to helm the NWSL side, bringing exactly the type of reset the organization has been searching for.

The 37-year-old coach touched down in North Carolina earlier this week and has wasted no time getting down to business. He leaves behind a stellar track record at BK Häcken, where he constructed an impressive project over the past two campaigns.

Courage supporters have plenty of reasons for optimism: Lind just steered BK Häcken to the Swedish championship with an extraordinary 21-1-4 record. The numbers tell the story—a staggering +68 goal difference. His squads know how to find the back of the net consistently.

The appointment comes at an ideal moment. The Courage recently secured Swedish forward Evelyn Ijeh from AC Milan on a deal running through 2029. She netted 12 times in Serie A last season and aligns seamlessly with Lind's attack-minded approach.
