Self excluded 6 months ago, can i actually get back in?
ok so back in winter i did a self exclusion thing because i was on a bad streak and just needed to stop. it was a 6 month one i think. now the timers basically up and im wondering if i can just log back in or do i have to do something special. honestly part of me feels like i shouldnt even ask but here we are. anyone gone through this and reactivated?

yeah ive been through this exact thing. when your exclusion period ends it doesnt just auto reactivate, you usually have to contact support and request it manually, and a lot of places make you wait an extra cooling off period (like 24-48h) before it actually opens up again. on Boomerang Bet i had to email them and confirm a few times that i actually wanted back in, took like 2 days. but real talk before you do it ask yourself why you excluded in the first place. i went back and immediately regretted it tbh

can confirm the manual reactivation thing. mine was through self exclusion too and they didnt just let me waltz back in. had to verify identity again and sit through a whole 'are you sure' process. honestly the friction is probably a good thing

wait so if it was a permanent exclusion not a timed one does that change anything? asking for myself lol

yeah that's totally different. permanent or indefinite usually means you cant just request it back, some operators wont reverse it at all and others make you go through a much longer review. timed ones expire on their own, permanent ones are kind of the point that they DONT

does the exclusion carry over to other sites or just the one you signed up with? like is it one big list or per company

depends where you are. in ontario the regulated sites are supposed to share self exclusion through the central system so it can cover multiple at once. but offshore stuff isnt tied to that at all, those are basically per site and honestly enforcement is hit or miss

idk this whole 'contact support to come back' thing sounds like they make it easy on purpose. like if you were serious about excluding why would there even be a path back. seems kinda backwards no?

i mean for timed exclusions the whole point is its temporary, you chose a length for a reason. the cooling off period and the manual step are there so you cant reactivate on impulse at 2am. it's not as easy as you think, mine had me confirm twice across two days

just adding for context, most CA facing operators have to follow responsible gambling rules so the reactivation process and the wait times are usually documented in their terms. worth reading that section before you assume anything, it varies a fair bit between operators

honestly my experience was garbage. exclusion ended, i requested back, support took like a week to even respond and when they did they sent me a generic copy paste. felt like nobody actually reviews these properly, just a formality so they can say they did something

that's rough but mine was the opposite, support actually called me to talk through it before reopening and offered to set deposit limits. so it really comes down to which operator. the slow generic ones exist but not all of them are like that

for what its worth the reactivation usually isnt instant anywhere ive seen, theres almost always a mandatory wait built in by regulation specifically so people dont reverse a self exclusion in a moment of weakness. so even if support is fast you probably wont get back same day

same boat as the top comment. did a 6 month one, requested back when it ended, had to email and confirm and wait the cooling off. process worked fine for me. but echoing what they said, sit with WHY you excluded first. if its just because the timers up and not because anything changed, maybe extend it. no shame in that at all
