Is pinnacle still working for canadians?
ok so i had an account with pinnacle a couple years back and stopped using it. tried logging in last week and it says my account is restricted or whatever. did they pull out of canada or is it just me? heard some stuff about them not accepting canadians anymore but cant find a straight answer anywhere. anyone here still betting on them from canada rn?

yeah pinnacle has been weird about canada for a while now. some people still get in depending on province but a lot of accounts got restricted out of nowhere. i kinda gave up fighting it tbh. switched over to Boomerang Bet like 6 months ago and havent had any issues from ontario, deposits and withdrawals both clear fine. pinnacle had great lines no doubt but the access headache wasnt worth it for me anymore

same boat man. i moved off pinnacle last year for the same reason and honestly dont miss the stress of wondering if my acct gets frozen mid season. lines elsewhere are fine for what i bet

honestly the whole thing pissed me off. i had money sitting in my pinnacle account when they restricted me and getting it out was a NIGHTMARE. took weeks and like 4 emails to support before they finally processed it. left a bad taste

that sucks but in my case the withdrawal was actually smooth when i closed mine out. got it back in like 3 days to my crypto wallet. maybe depends on how you funded it? sounds like you had bad luck with support

fwiw pinnacle is technically not licensed in ontario since the regulated market launched. they operate in a grey area for the rest of canada. thats why some provinces work and some dont, its all about where you are

to add to this, pinnacle never officially announced pulling out of canada. they just quietly started restricting accounts based on geolocation. so its not a clean yes or no answer, varies a lot person to person

wait so if im in alberta does that mean i can still use them? or is it basically a gamble whether i get restricted later

yeah basically alberta seems to still work for some people right now but theres no guarantee it stays that way. i wouldnt put a big balance in there if youre worried about it getting locked. keep it small or use somewhere more stable imo

the appeal of pinnacle was always the low margins and high limits for sharps. for casual bettors honestly the difference isnt huge so the access risk isnt worth it. for high rollers though i get why people still try to keep their accounts alive

idk this whole thread makes it sound like everyone just gave up. is pinnacle really that bad now or are people overreacting? their odds used to be the best in the business, hard to believe theyd just toss the canadian market

nobodys saying pinnacle is bad, the odds are still elite. its just the access thing thats the problem. when your account can get frozen randomly its not about quality anymore its about reliability. thats why people moved on

for what its worth i read on another forum that vpn usage to get around the geo blocks can actually get you banned and forfeit funds. so dont try that route if youre tempted. not worth losing your balance

can confirm what the top comment said. i was in the exact same situation, restricted account and all. found a new spot that actually works properly in ontario and its been way less stressful. wish i switched sooner honestly instead of fighting the pinnacle thing for months
