ok so i deposited and got a $100 bonus with what they call a 5x rollover or whatever. i thought that meant i just bet $100 worth and im good but now my balance is locked and i cant withdraw anything. did i mess up or is this normal? feeling kinda dumb rn ngl

nah you didnt mess up, this trips up everyone. the rollover means you gotta wager 5x the bonus amount before it unlocks, so thats $500 in total bets not $100. and sometimes it includes the deposit too depending on the terms. when i started on Boomerang Bet i didnt read the fine print either and wondered why my money was stuck for like a week lol. just check if its 5x bonus only or bonus+deposit, makes a huge difference

yep can confirm. same thing happened to me, thought i was done after a few bets and the balance just sat there locked. once i actually finished the wagering it released fine though. patience is the name of the game with these

worth mentioning that not all bets count the same toward rollover. like a lot of books only count odds above a certain threshold, usually -200 or evens or whatever. so if you been betting heavy favorites those might not be contributing much if at all. read the terms section, its boring but it tells you exactly whats eligible

wait so does that mean if i bet on like -300 favorites none of it counts toward clearing the bonus??

Depends on the book but yeah, often anything below the minimum odds either doesn't count at all or only counts partially. Some places give you like 25% credit on low odds bets, others give zero. You really have to dig into the specific terms because they all do it differently. That's how they make the rollover harder to clear than it looks on paper.

fwiw the rollover also usually has a time limit attached. mine was 30 days and i almost let it expire which wouldve forfeited the whole bonus. so dont just sit on it, keep an eye on the clock too

another thing nobody mentions, when you make a bet the wagering progress is tracked on the full stake amount not your potential winnings. so a $20 bet adds $20 to your progress regardless of what you win or lose. tracking page usually shows a progress bar somewhere in account settings if youre lost

same boat as everyone here, got burned once not understanding this exact thing. now i always read the rollover terms before depositing and honestly some books have way more reasonable requirements than others. 5x isnt bad, ive seen 10x and even 15x which is brutal. once you get the hang of it its manageable
