My live bet got rejected mid game wtf
so basically i was watching the leafs game and tried to put a live bet on during the 2nd period, hit confirm and it just said bet rejected. odds were right there on my screen?? happened twice in a row and by the time it went through the line had moved. anyone know why this keeps happening or is it just me getting screwed lol

yeah this is super common with live betting unfortunately. the odds move so fast during the game that by the time your click reaches their server the price already changed, so it rejects instead of just giving you the old number. ive had it happen a ton during fast moments like power plays. honestly since i switched to Boomerang Bet it happens way less for me, their live feed feels a bit quicker and they let you set accept odds changes so it auto takes the new price instead of rejecting. check if your app has that toggle, saved me a lot of headache

can confirm the accept odds changes toggle is the move. i used to rage every time a bet got booted and turning that on basically fixed it for me. you lose a tiny bit on the price sometimes but at least the bet actually goes through

honestly live betting is rigged imo. ive had rejections during the EXACT moment something good is about to happen and then magically it works again right after. too convenient. they delay your bet on purpose when the line is in your favour

thats not really how it works tho. ive cashed plenty of live bets right before big moments. its just latency, the suspension kicks in whenever theres a scoring chance for either team not just yours. they suspend then reopen, nothing personal

fwiw most books suspend the market automatically whenever the ref blows the whistle or theres a dangerous attack. so a rejection during a play is usually just the market being frozen for a sec, not them targeting you specifically. happens across pretty much every sportsbook

idk i hear the latency excuse a lot but how come my single bets go through instantly and only the live ones lag? seems sus that the lag only shows up when real time money is on the table

its because pre game odds are static, they dont change so theres nothing to reject. live odds are recalculating like every second based on whats happening on the ice, so your click has to match a price thats already gone by the time it lands. totally different thing, not a conspiracy

for what its worth the speed depends a lot on the data provider the book uses. some pull from the official league feed which is faster, others use a cheaper one with a delay. thats why two apps can show different live odds at the same moment

wait so does the accept odds changes setting mean ill always get a worse price? like is there a downside to leaving it on all the time

nah not always worse, just whatever the current price is when it processes. could be better could be worse, the line moves both ways. only real downside is you cant cancel if it jumps a lot, but for live stuff i keep it on cause getting the bet in matters more to me than a couple cents on the odds

same boat as op a while back, kept getting rejected during games and it drove me nuts. turned on the auto accept thing and barely had an issue since. live betting is just gonna have some friction during fast moments, you kinda gotta accept that or stick to pre game
