50 Serie A Footballers Named in Milan Escort Service Investigation
Approximately 50 Serie A footballers — including multiple players from AC Milan and Inter Milan — have been identified as customers of a sophisticated escort service operating in Milan, following an investigation by Italy's Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) that resulted in four arrests.
This wasn't a small-scale operation. According to Italian authorities, the network operated under the guise of a legitimate events company in the greater Milan area, organizing parties at high-end nightclubs while simultaneously coordinating escort services. Packages reportedly cost several thousand euros and included fine dining at exclusive restaurants, luxury five-star hotel stays, and companionship services.
Details of the Investigation
The four individuals arrested are facing charges related to facilitating prostitution and money laundering. Authorities confiscated more than 1.2 million euros in suspected illegal earnings. Wiretap evidence published by Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests the network's clientele extended beyond football — a Formula 1 driver was also referenced in intercepted communications, with one suspect allegedly asking: "I have a friend who is a Formula 1 driver and he wants a paid girlfriend. Can we find her?" The response: "I'll send him the Brazilian."
Investigators also discovered that nitrous oxide — commonly known as laughing gas — was offered as a recreational substance during these organized events.
Importantly, the footballers themselves are not facing charges. Prosecutors have clarified that the women involved were consenting adults, no evidence of violence or coercion was found, and utilizing escort services is not illegal in Italy. "Unfortunately, it is not a crime, it is not classified as such," the Guardia di Finanza stated.
Implications for Italian Football
While no player names have been officially disclosed, speculation is already circulating around both Milan clubs. Inter and AC Milan are both navigating crucial seasons — Inter pushing to maintain their position at the top of Serie A, while Milan attempts to regain stability following recent struggles. This type of off-field controversy represents an unwelcome distraction, regardless of whether any criminal wrongdoing occurred.
One detail from the investigation carries particular weight: a woman allegedly became pregnant as a result of her relationship with one of the clients. This element transforms the story from simple tabloid fodder into a situation with genuine personal ramifications.
Both clubs have remained silent on the matter. No players have been publicly identified. However, in a city where football dominates conversation and rumours spread rapidly, that silence speaks volumes.
